Embark on an exciting safari through the Masai Mara National Reserve, renowned for its incredible diversity of wildlife. Here you will have the unique opportunity to meet the legendary ‘Big Five': lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo.
The Great Animal Migration

Depending on the season, witness one of nature’s most spectacular phenomena — the great migration. Thousands of gnu, zebra and gazelle antelopes cross the Mara River in search of fresh pastures, creating a spectacle that will amaze every traveler.

PROGRAM

Day 1: Nairobi - Ol Pejeta (Appx 4-5 hrs drive)

In the morning you will depart Nairobi for Ol Pejeta Conservancy's private reserve, a unique place where natural diversity and wildlife conservation programs are in harmony.
On arrival, lunch and accommodation in a lodge or campsite. In the afternoon you'll enjoy a safari to meet the reserve's inhabitants, including rare black rhinos, and visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, Kenya's only rehabilitation center for these primates. In the evening, dinner and overnight at your camp.

Day 2: Ol Pejeta full day

A full day dedicated to exploring the reserve. Start the morning with an exciting safari and the chance to see black and white rhinos, lions, giraffes and a host of other African wildlife. Visit the Sweetwaters Reserve, which houses rescued chimpanzees living in conditions as close to natural as possible. In the afternoon, take another safari walk through the beautiful landscapes of the reserve.

For a special experience, a guided walking safari or a night safari (on request, extra charge) can be arranged to discover the secret life of the savannah's nocturnal inhabitants. End the day with dinner and relaxation at the camp.

Day 3: Ol Pejeta – L. Nakuru (Appx 4-5 hrs drive)

After breakfast, you will travel to Lake Nakuru National Park to see the highlights including the famous flocks of flamingos, Rothschild's giraffes, black and white rhinos, and diverse bird life. Back at the lodge after a busy day, you'll be treated to an appetizing dinner and a well-deserved comfortable rest.

Day 4: L. Nakuru - Masai Mara (Appx 5-6 hrs drive)

Morning departure to the Masai Mara Game Reserve via the town of Narok. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. After settling in, depart for an afternoon game drive across the vast plains of the Mara, where you will have the chance to see nocturnal predators emerging from their day's rest to start hunting. You will also encounter zebras, antelope and other wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight surrounded by the sounds of African wildlife.

Day 5: Full day safari in the Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast, you will depart for a full day in the Masai Mara Park, traveling in open-roofed jeeps. Each passenger is free to sit by the window and fully observe the animals. Throughout the day you will observe the “big five” African animals (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo). There are also plenty of zebras, giraffes and over 570 species of birds. Enjoy a picnic lunch under the shade of a croton tree overlooking the vast expanse of the park, and afterwards, you will go to the village of the famous nomadic Maasai tribe. Learn about their surviving traditional way of life, culture and bouncing dances. View their traditional outfits and have your photo taken as a souvenir. Return to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 6: Masai Mara to Nairobi (Appx 5-6 hrs drive)

After breakfast check out of the camp and return to Nairobi. Enjoy the scenic drive back, with a stop for lunch in the town of Narok. Arrival in Nairobi is expected in the evening or overnight, followed by transfer to your hotel or airport.

Rates do not apply for Children aged 0-2 years as they are not charged.
Children between 3-11 years pay 50% of the adult rate when sharing the same rooms with adults.
Children between 3-11years pay 75% of the adult rate when in separate rooms from the adults.
Children above 11 years are recognized as adults therefore charged adult room rates.
